Such a lovely model
Lots of fun to paint too!
These chaps are now painted!
The Last four Honour Guard, including the banner bearer are now painted..
Chapter Champion with classic “sword raised aloft” pose.. Mk 7 armour for this fellow. he must be quite young ;)
Mk3 – Drawing sword.. lovely pose!
a mix of mk7 and mk5 armour on this chap and an axe!
Banner bearer in mk 3…
Nice easy paint job on these, and a nice antidote to the challenge of the white scars as it paints well and they aren't on bikes, so they are fast to do in comparison.
Quite a mash of bits too, Sternguard, MK3 command, brass etch, ultramarines upgrade sprue..
I’ll get to the rank and file of these chaps soon, – two rhinos to paint to go with them as well!
I finished him a while back, but in the interests of scheduling content,(and letting his owner see him before he appears on the webs) I’m posting him today..
A wicked model, and the studio paint job doesn't do it justice..
Its a nice sculpt, I find myself more and more wanting fewer GW products and more FW ones.. and thats noting to do with armies or lists or rules and purely because of the quality of the models.
I mean look at these funky lil’ blacksun filter markerlight drones!
My new job is not leaving me much time to hobby at the moment, So You are likely to see the blog go to a single Sunday post per week for the forseeable – this is to make sure I don't have what happened last time, where I kept up two posts a week, and then had a few weeks of no content at all.
I may drop in some random mid-week posts, If I can find the time, but dont count on it guys!
I keep saying it, but man bikes take time to paint!
Some still as well in an attempt to better portray the colours.. though I think the video quality is improving!
The Sergeant is made using one of the white scars upgrade torsos, but with the sword replaces with a combi melta. Ive done that more than once, but will use the wicked curved swords on the command squad
I’, also using all my older plastic leftover armour marks that I wont be using with my Minotaurs; this fits for me as the white scars are an old and somewhat unruly legion, the mk 6 heads and torsos, along with the mk 5 heresey bodies fit well with the scars for me; its a bit of a shame all the biker legs are mk 7 but hey ho, we compromise!
There are also bits drawn from the BA and SW kits dotted throughout this build.. like the crested helm and the more ornate melta.
There you have them, more to follow.. but I need to push myself to get the balance right.. the Minotaurs are so much easier to paint!
