Had a nice evening last night with some friends playing Mansions of Madness complete with booze and candles.

It’s a cracking game, especially for this time of year, easy to play (if not to actually set up) and it has good replay ability. to my shame though I haven't painted my set yet. I really must do something about that. (a quick google of the aforementioned will show you lots of lovely examples)

We played story 3, which if you know it is the one with a lot of outside tiles and one of my favourite lovecrafitan creations the Mi-Go. (the minis come complete with brain-in-a-jar accessory, I nearly had the keeper win condition when I accidentally triggered a story event that killed the Blood relative before I’d driven him insane and it gave the Investigators chance to rally. to the point that they almost won!

The game ended in a fairly equitable draw, with the Mi-Go and the Investigators going home empty handed. or empty Jar-ed
that’s all for now. I’ve played some X wing which I’ll post about soon, and I made some asteroids and am working on some debris tokens. I need to do some research on pirate factions in the new EU for Star wars and cook up a paint scheme for some scum ships for the new Cannon, but that's also another post for another time :)
work has me flat out at the moment. up until half term I’d had two days without work since September 1st, and at present am working 60-70 hours weeks, Please don't ever let anyone tell you teachers have it easy. if they do, they aren't doing it right.
thanks for reading, I’m out!
