Death Company – Improvised reinforcements

DSC_9246

I liked the earlier Death Company guy enough to scavenge up some more metal bodies and put the remaining leftover bitz to good use. just 4 guys with B+C and one with a Pfist. This one is probably the worst pose simply because its the oddest torso angle..

I've even pressed some old metal shoulderpads into service here..

relentless is nice, meaning they can fire bolters and still charge, but they look a bit goofy all modelled with both bolter and chainsword, as do Grey hunters, so I do just a few so that I remember the unit has both.

It does however mean they give up an attack, making the 3 on the charge, 2 in combat, but it’s a tradeoff.

Anyway these are next in the paint queue, then the squad modelled as Raphen’s, then the Drop pod, then.. then.. then…

  1. Sometimes the best marines are from bitz and bobs. Top notch, love the poses!

    1. Cheers Zab, more of a nuisance unit than anything optimised, but having all the stuff laying here.. I had to build them.

  3. The last dude does look a tad squat. But having said that, loving the slightly retro vibe mashed with current/crisp new bits.

Carry on good sir - these need a lick of paint now!

    1. Yeah, that might be the dropped shoulder on the re purposed GH arm..
Still feel quite nifty all together with a droppod.

And yes, they are actually painted as we speak, post to come in the next few.

  4. Actually, with respect to the lost attack, they don't lose anything because of Rage. +2 A on the charge my friend.
